Hi Julia, glad you like the site.

I went to school with a Basil Quinn, I'm sure it was your brother.

I haven't seen him since our schooldays, give him my regards.

This has been a wonderful experience for me to look through so many photos of how I remember Belfast when I was growing up in 20 Dunedin Park. I left Belfast on 14th September 1971 to come to Melbourne where I am still living. Remembering some of the faces and streets this is such a worthwhile site, I hope to add some of my own photos soon and get copies from the site when I start writing my life story just for my own children to know what life was like for me growing up in Ardoyne. My family all visited Ardoyne a few years ago before my Dad died. Tommy & Minnie Quinn are my parents, Anna, Betty, Basil, Lawrence & Claire are my sisters & brothers. Thank you so much.

This is a great site that needs supported from as many local individuals/groups as possible to be maintained & updated. I'm not sure about "regular" visitors, but the site is a way of remembering/keeping in touch with old friends & family members which is priceless. Other Belfast websites charge for the privilege to look at these memories and whilst I appreciate the cost involved in hosting something this size, displaying the real people& history of Ardoyne & its surrounding communities for free as much as possible is key to change the outside perception (either good or bad depending on how many pics my uncle Martin appears - is he paying you??). Keep up the good (and I know, hard) work Eddie. Suggestion - push it onto Facebook....an easy way to advertise & garner support.

Thanks Stephen, it's people like you that make it worthwhile.
